Listening Ear

The first dedicated Listening Ear office was opened by Brian and Karen Kerr in Rathcoole. As Listening Ear trainers, they can support those who need help, but are also best placed to train other 'Listening Ears' around Northern Ireland

Wednesday 11am to 1pm: The Natter Group: a group for everyone and anyone to come along and meet your neighbours. Come along for a cup of tea, a chat, guest speakers and start to build a program of activities that you want.

Tuesdays 11am to 1pm: The Support and Survive: a group for those that are currently going through cancer treatment or have been through it. This is a participant lead group and you will decide how you want to progress it.

Last Tuesday of each month 6:30pm to 8pm: Abbey Allsorts: an educational, safe and enjoyable place for children with special needs and their siblings to come together. To support their carers and build a network for them.

Monday to Friday 10am to 4pm: Community Fridge: the fridge is not means tested and is open to all. It is to reduce food waste and all food is in date and of good quality.

Telephone support and assist service: daily, weekly or monthly calls can be arranged to provide support and assistance services to those impacted by loneliness, depression, anxiety, PTSD, post natal depression etc. Our telephone number is an 24/7 number for those that find themselves needing a Listening Ear when impacted by a mental health emergency .

Welfare, debt and housing support: drop in service.
